Boston has been reeling over the past month and even with as well as Kutter Crawford has pitched as a stopgap starter in the rotation, it's tough to have a ton of faith in the team. The Red Sox are just 6-17 in the month of July entering this one and had been outscored by a whopping 76 runs. Crawford is 0-2 with a 3.81 ERA, a 1.115 WHIP, seven walks and 26 strikeouts over 26 innings in his five starts on the year. With Boston's issues, it's tough to think they're suddenly going to play well. Cleveland sends Triston McKenzie to the hill here and he's been on a roll of late. In his last four starts, he's posted a 3-0 mark with a 0.34 ERA, a 0.787 WHIP, eight walks and 27 strikeouts over 26.2 innings in July. Opposing hitters have a putrid .146/.225/.146 slash line against him in that span. Given Boston's issues both at the plate and on the mound, coupled with their injury woes, dooms the Red Sox again here. Take the Guardians on getaway day on the road.
