Baltimore got the upper hand in the opening game of this series as Yusei Kikuchi continues to struggle. While the Blue Jays floundered in that one, they have their #1 pitcher on the hill here in Alek Manoah. Sure, Manoah wasn't sharp in his outing against the Orioles last week, giving up three runs on eight hits with one walk and five strikeouts over five innings of work. He was in line for the win as the Blue Jays tallied four in the sixth to go up 5-3 before the rains came. When they came and went, so did Toronto's chance of winning as the Orioles rallied for a 6-5 win. Dean Kremer gets the ball for the Orioles in this one but he's sputtered of late after a strong start. He's 1-3 with a 5.96 ERA while allowing 33 hits in 25.2 innings of work in his last five starts. Kremer has given up at least four runs in three of those starts and three in another outing. Manoah should be better than he was in Charm City and helps the Blue Jays stop the bleeding, even if just for one night.
