Cleveland rallied to pick up the win on Friday night to open this series, taking a 5-2 triumph thanks to a four-run seventh. The Guardians turn to their ace here in Shane Bieber, who has turned things around after a slow start to the year and looks more like the guy who won the AL Cy Young back in 2020. He's won his last four starts, posting a 1.67 ERA with three walks and 30 strikeouts over 27 innings in that span. While Chicago has gotten a solid showing from Johnny Cueto this season, he has only one win in his last five starts and struggled in his last outing against Cleveland. In that start, which came July 23, he allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits with one walk and no strikeouts over seven innings in a 7-4 White Sox loss.
