Miami Marlins -135
(MLB) NY Mets vs. Miami,
Money Line: -135.00 Miami (Home)
Result: Loss
We had success with the Marlins on Wednesday night with Pablo Lopez on the mound against the Rockies. We'll go back to the well with Miami at home here against the Mets as their ace, Sandy Alcantara, is on the hill in the series opener. Alcantara has been tremendous this season, going 7-2 with a 1.72 ERA and 90 punchouts over 99.1 innings. He's even been the victim of bad luck, recording FOUR no-decisions where he threw at least seven innings and didn't allow more than two runs. Alcantara threw eight innings, allowing two runs on six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts, in his last start, which was a 6-2 win against these same Mets at Citi Field. You have to ride the wave when he's on the mound and after stifling the Mets on the road, you have to think he can get the job done at the spacious confines of LoanDepot Park.
