Toronto Blue Jays -150
(MLB) Boston vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -150.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Loss
Toronto has cooled the Red Sox off a bit in this series. The Blue Jays won in one-sided fashion Monday night and followed up with a walk-off victory on Tuesday night to set themselves up for a chance at a sweep. Toronto now gets the opportunity to send their ace to the mound in the form of Alek Manoah, who is 9-2 with a 2.05 ERA and a 0.958 WHIP on the season. While Nick Pivetta has really turned things around, going 8-1 with a 2.03 ERA and eight quality starts in his last nine starts dating back to May 13, the Red Sox are missing some pieces, especially in the bullpen. The vaccination law that governs Canada has kept Tanner Houck, the Boston closer, out of the mix and he could have been used Tuesday night. Don't expect offensive fireworks but with the last at-bat, their ace on the hill and a lot of young guys in the lineup that are impervious to fear, you have to back the Blue Jays here.
