Buffalo has been hot lately but it’s too little, too late as they were eliminated from playoff contention Tuesday night. The Sabres lament that 13-game skid they had earlier in the year as that has come back to haunt them. Columbus is on thin ice as far as the playoffs go but they still have at least a flicker of hope, trailing Montreal by eight points with five games remaining. That means the Blue Jackets are going to have to come out strong and set the tone because they have no margin for error at this stage of the year. Buffalo hangs tough but they’re deflated after being eliminated. Give the edge to the Blue Jackets at home here.
