We’ve got a team playing out the string after falling short in disappointing fashion after having hopes to return to the postseason and one that is limping into the playoffs. Dallas played themselves out of a shot at the top record in the West and now will face Colorado in the opening round of the playoffs. The Stars have to right the ship or it will be a quick exit from the postseason. Detroit threw a wrench in Tampa Bay’s plans Friday night but it’s tough to get up for games that hold little meaning night in and night out. Give the upper hand to Dallas here as Oettinger gets the job done himself.
