Houston is back firing on all cylinders as the holiday weekend rolls on. The Astros have won five straight and 10 of their last 12 entering this contest as they cruised to a win Saturday over the Angels. Houston has outscored Los Angeles 17-2 in the first two games of this season, including launching five homers in a 9-1 triumph Saturday. The Astros send Framber Valdez to the hill, who is 7-1 with a 2.30 ERA over 62.2 innings in nine starts dating back to May 13. He's beaten the Angels seven times in his career, more than he's beaten any other team in his career. Meanwhile, Jose Suarez has struggled, posting a 4.36 ERA and a 1.636 WHIP in 33 innings of work. He won't get a ton of help from the bats as the Angels are 25th in runs per game on the road (3.89) while the Astros own a league-best 2.57 ERA at home. With the way Houston has been playing of late, they are burying the rest of the AL West. Valdez does the job here and keeps the Astros' winning ways going.
