This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Flames/Stars.
The Flames finished 51-22-9-2 this year. They were huge favorites in both of the games in Calgary and they won Game 1 by a score of 1-0. Then Dallas responded with a 2-0 win in Game 2.
Two really really low-scoring games to open up this series, but now with the shift in venue, and especially considering that it's all tied up instead of one team being up 2-0, I believe that this Game 3 will be much more wide open.
So from a situational stand point, I absolutely think this one sets up well for a faster-paced game. Let's not overreact and think this series will continue to be low-scoring throughout the entire thing.
But there's also a really strong Over/Under trend to back up my theory here, and that's that the Flames have seen the total go OVER the number in a near-perfect seven of their last eight games in trying to revenge a shutout home loss against an opponent.
For all the reasons listed above, the play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
