5% BIG 10 TOTAL OF THE YEAR
(NCAAF) Scarlet Knights (RUT) vs. Spartans (MSU),
Total: 47.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Loss
The Scarlet Knights snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last weekend. They called timeout on a 50+ yard missed field goal then gave up a 45 yard touchdown as time expired to lose to Illinois. Michigan State is coming off a win over Purdue. The Spartans are inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball. They rely on the ground game to grind out tough yards but don't have that gamebreaker threat. Rutgers’ defense is in the top five in the Big Ten in rushing defense. Rutgers has a good rushing attack that is a major part of their offensive production. Michigan State has a good rush defense. Neither team would be considered to have explosive offenses. . Rutgers has scored 21.7 points per game in the Big 10. Defensively they have allowed 19 or fewer points in two of their last three games. The Spartans have put up 19.8 points per game in their last five games. Both teams like to grind it out on the ground and play at a slow pace. It should be cold and possibly snowing for this game.
