Money Line: -135.00 Longhorns (TEX) (Home)
Result: Loss
The SEC Championship Game has No. 5 Georgia going against No. 3 Texas. The Bulldogs are 10-2 overall and 6-2 in the SEC. The Longhorns finished 11-1 overall and 7-1 in the SEC with their only loss coming at the hands of Georgia. This is the fourth straight SEC final game and the seventh in the last eight years for Georgia. They beat then No.1 Texas 30-15 back in October. The Bulldogs are putting up 34.3 points and 425.3 yards of offense per game. Carson Beck has thrown for 3,429 passing yards and 29 touchdowns. On the defensive side, they are giving up 20.5 points and 332.2 total yards per game. This is Texas’s first year in the SEC and they find themselves in the SEC title game. Texas has won five straight since their loss to Georgia. They are putting up 34.8 points and 450.1 total yards per game. Quinn Ewers has thrown for 2,307 yards, with 24 touchdowns. On the defensive end, they are giving up 11.7 points and 247.5 total yards per game. Georgia’s 30 points in the first matchup was the most points Texas allowed all season. Georgia is 3-9 ATS this season and Texas is 7-5 ATS. Texas allowed just three points in the second half of the first matchup and I look for them to play the same way from the opening kickoff. Georgia has not looked dominant since beating Texas while the Longhorns have been steamrolling people. I like Texas to get revenge in this one.
