NHL 15-4 RUN
(NHL) Red Wings (DET) vs. Flyers (PHI),
Money Line: 120.00 Red Wings (DET) (Away)
Result: Loss
The Detroit Red Wings travel to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Philadelphia Flyers. Detroit comes in with a record of 11-13-4 and sits 5th in the Atlantic Division. Philadelphia is 13-12-4 and is 4th in the Metropolitan Division. The Red Wings have lost five of their last six games. The Red Wings snapped their five-game losing streak last time out with a win over Buffalo.  Detroit is 27th in the league in goals per game, putting up 2.57 goals a game. They are 20th in the league in goals against as they allow an average of 3.14 goals a game. The Flyers ended their own three-game losing streak by beating the Blue Jackets. Philadelphia comes into this game tied for 20th in the league in scoring with 2.93 goals per game. On the defensive end, they are giving up 3.41 goals a game, good for 27th.  Philadelphia goaltenders have limited the Red Wings to three goals or less in four of their previous five games overall and three straight at home. Detroit has lost close to 60 percent of their games played on the road this season. In saying that, The Flyers are playing their fourth game in six nights while Detroit has had two days' rest. Detroit should also get Talbot back in the net. Detroit came back from two goals down in the third period last time out and I like them to ride that momentum over a tired Flyers team.
