I’m in on the Guardians at home for game 3 vs the Yankees for these reasons:

- Clarke Schmidt and Mathew Boyd? Equal playing field when comparing the starting pitchers. Both should have a decent night, but I’d rather trust Boyd to limit more batters on base and runs than Schmidt because of the arsenals that these two have. The fastball is the best pitch for both batters, but a lefty is not what the Yankees want to see right now, especially with them only batting .235 against them this season. Down 2-0 I can’t avoid this plus money situation and opportunity to cash on a team who has the better bullpen, and needs to get one win before going down 3-0. The bats should be able to hit Schmidt who has been inconsistent this season in road spots, so this all lines up for a low scoring win for the home team. I’m side betting Manzardo to get a hit on Schmidt as well, because of his ability to hit the fastball, cutter and slider well, all pitches that Schmidt throws the most.
