The Rays are coming into this game not playing well over the month of July but they have started playing much better again recently as they have won 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games. They are going up against a Yankees team that has not been playing well in their recent games as they have lost 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games and have also been struggling all season as they are currently sitting at the bottom of the AL East. Domingo Germán is starting for the Yankees here and he is 5-7 with a 4.77 ERA this season. He has not been good in most of his starts this season as he has allowed at least 5 earned runs in each of his last 2 as well as 4 of his last 7 starts. He is coming off of a start in his last one where he allowed 6 earned runs at home against the Mets who have had a very weak offense all season, and now he will have to face one of the best offenses in the MLB that has been starting to heat up once again as they just scored 8 runs on the Astros in their last game. Tyler Glasnow is starting for the Rays here and he is 4-3 with a 3.36 ERA this season. He has been very good and consistent in his starts all year as he has only allowed more than 3 earned runs in 1 of his 11 starts all season. He has also been pitching very well recently as he has allowed just 2 earned runs or less in his last 4 straight as well as 5 of his last 6 starts. The Yankees have not had a strong offense all season and even though they did just get Judge back from an injury, he will still not be enough to boost this struggling Yankees lineup as they will struggle to score runs on Glasnow and the Rays here. German has also been awful recently and the Yankees will have a tough time keeping up with this potent Rays offense. The Rays will win this game.
