AMEDEUS' MLB AL CENTRAL GAME OF THE MONTH!
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Detroit,
Money Line: -155.00 Minnesota (Away)
Result: Loss
The Twins are coming into this game losing their last 2 straight but prior to this little stumble they were playing very well as they had won 5 straight games, still winning 5 of their last 7 with those 2 losses included. They are going up against a Tigers team that has won their last 2 games but they were not playing well prior to that as they had lost 3 of their last 4 games and they have been struggling all season with a record 13 games below .500. The Twins may have lost the last 2 games but they still have a chance to split this series and will be motivated to do so as they are trying to keep their 4.5 game lead over the Guardians for 1st place in the AL Central. Kenta Maeda is starting for the Twins here and he is 3-6 with a 4.22 ERA this season. He has been pitching well this season and has been great in his recent starts as well. He has allowed just 2 earned runs or less in each of his last 4 straight as well as 7 of his last 8 starts and has only allowed 1 earned run or less in 2 of his last 3 starts. The Tigers are not only having an awful season but they also have a very weak offense that has struggled to score runs all season and they are going to struggle here with the way Maeda has been pitching recently. Reese Olson is starting for the Tigers here and he is 1-5 with a 4.94 ERA this season. He has not been good in his recent starts as he has allowed at least 4 earned runs in each of his last 3 starts and he has been facing a lot of middle of the pack offenses in that span as well. The Twins will get their chances to score in this game while Maeda has another good outing and the Twins will be motivated to get this series split. The Twins will win this game.
