AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Houston vs. Miami,
Total: 7.50 | -120.00 Over
Result: Loss
The Astros are coming into this game playing in some high scoring games recently as they have seen 9 runs total or more in 6 of their last 7 games. Their offense has also been on fire in those games as they have scored 11 runs in 2 of their last 3 as well as scoring at least 7 runs in 5 of their last 7 games. They are going up against a Marlins team that has also been in some high scoring games recently as they have seen 9 runs total or more in 3 of their last 4 games. Framber Valdez is starting for the Astros here and he is 9-7 with a 3.30 ERA this season. He has not been pitching very well in his recent starts as he allowed 6 earned runs in his last start and he has allowed at least 4 earned runs in 4 of his last 5 starts. He has also been awful on the road as he has allowed at least 4 earned runs in each of his last 4 straight road starts and the Marlins offense has been very good recently as well as being much better at home, they will find ways to score here at home with how bad Valdez has been pitching recently. Braxton Garrett is starting for the Marlins in this game and he is 6-3 with a 4.08 ERA this season. He has not been great in his recent starts either as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in 5 of his last 7 starts and even when pitching at home he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in 4 of his last 5 home starts. He has not been awful in a lot of these starts but he has still been giving up runs consistently in his recent starts and that is going to get him into trouble here against a hot offense like the Astros who are looking to surge up the standings now. Between these two teams, there will be enough runs in this game to push it over the total here.
