The Brewers were playing well coming into this series but they have run into the wall that is the Dodgers as they have now lost their last 2 straight games and their offense has been awful in those as they have scored just 3 runs between the 2 games. Their pitching has not been good either as they have allowed at least 6 runs in each of their last 2 games and they are going up against a Dodgers team with one of the better offenses in the league this season. The Dodgers are coming into this game playing very well recently as they have won their last 10 straight as well as 14 of their last 15 games. Their offense has been on fire in those games as they have scored at least 6 runs in each of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 5 games, and their pitching has also been great as they have not allowed more than 3 runs in a game in their last 7 straight games. Corbin Burnes is starting for the Brewers here and he is 9-6 with a 3.60 ERA this season. He has not been as good in his recent starts as he has allowed at least 2 earned runs in each of his last 4 starts and just allowed 5 earned runs in his last start as well. That last start was also on the road against an awful White Sox offense and now he will be facing a much stronger offense that has been on fire recently and also one that he has allowed quite a few runs against in his last few starts over the years. Lance Lynn is starting for the Dodgers here and he is 9-9 with a 5.88 ERA this season but he has been pitching very well ever since coming to the Dodgers as he has not allowed more than 3 earned runs in any of his 3 starts and has allowed just 1 earned run or less in his last 2 starts for them, pitching at least 5 innings in all of those. The Dodgers have also scored at least 6 runs in each of his 3 starts so their hot offense will come prepared to score some runs in this game and considering how the Brewers offense has not been good recently or all season, they will not put up much of a fight if the Dodgers get out to a lead here. The Dodgers will win this game at home.
