Houston is coming into this game off of a big 17-14 win at home against UTSA in their last game. That was a game they knew they were underdogs at home in and Dana Holgorsen had his team ready to go for that game, but now they are going on the road against another Texas team and this will be a let down spot for them. Their defense played very well in that game as they only held UTSA to 14 points and they are not going to let this weaker Rice offense score that many points either, but their offense really struggled as they only scored 17 points in their win at home and now they are playing their 1st game on the road against a Rice team that gave Texas some trouble on offense in their last game. Rice only scored 10 points in that game but their defense held up as well as they forced multiple field goals and this will be a game where both teams to struggle to move the ball up the field at all with these two defenses dominating. This is going to be a low scoring game that stays under the total.
