Rutgers is coming into this game with a great start to their season as they are 3-0 but they have also played all 3 games at home and have not played any good teams. They beat Northwestern, Temple, and Virginia Tech but now they are playing their 1st road game of the season and against the best team in the conference who is going to serve them up with a nice shot of reality now. They are going up against a Michigan team ranked number 2 in the country as they are also off to a 3-0 start. Michigan has also played all 3 games at home and have not played any good teams in that span but they are at home again for this start of their conference schedule and they still have one of the best defenses in the country. They have not allowed more than 7 points in any of their 3 games this season and as well as Rutgers has been playing at home, their offense is going to struggle a lot more on the road here. Rutgers also likes to run the ball as their passing game is not great and they will not be able to run the ball here once they start falling behind early in the game. Michigan was very good on offense in their first 2 games as well as their passing game has been great. They were not as good in their last game as McCarthy did not play well but he will only be hungry to play much better in this game and they still won that last one 31-6. The Michigan defense is going to make it very hard on this Rutgers offense to score any points here and this will be the game where the Michigan offense finally wakes up and runs up the score in conference play.
