Arizona State is coming into this game playing very poorly in their games this season. They are 1-3 this year with their only win coming at home against an FCS team, beating Southern Utah 24-21. Their offense has not been good this season as they scored 15 points at home against Oklahoma State and got shutout at home by Fresno State. They are coming off of a game against USC which they scored 28 points in and were right in that game until the end, but now they are dealing with 2 QB injuries and they are due for a let down after coming so close in that game against USC. USC also has an awful defense that has been allowing a lot of points against bad teams all year. Now they are playing their 1st road game of the season and they are going up against a California team with a good defense. California has held their opponents to under 20 points in both of their home games this season and they are going to be hungry for a better performance here after allowing 59 points in their last game against Washington who might just be the best team in the country right now. California does not have a very strong offense though and they are not going to score a lot of points in this game, especially if they are playing with a big lead. This is a let down for Arizona State in their 1st road game of the year after playing a good game against USC and now with all of their injuries they are going to struggle a lot on offense against this good Cal defense. This is going to be a low scoring and more defensive game that stays under the total.
