Troy is coming into this game playing much better in their recent games as they have won their last 3 straight games. They have beaten some good teams in their last 3 games but now they are going on the road against an Army team that is coming off of a loss at home to Boston College, a game they had a lead in with less than 1 minute to go, and they are going to be hungry to bounce back here in their 2nd straight home game. Both of these teams have been averaging similar points scored and allowed per game this season. Troy does have a very good running game though and Army has struggled to stop the run this year so Troy will definitely have some success on the ground here and that is going to shorten this game since Army also likes to run the ball so Troy will not get enough possessions to blow Army out of the water here. Troy has been stopping the run very well this season but they are going to have a bit more trouble trying to stop this kind of run game that Army is running and Army has also had a lot of success throwing the ball more this year when defenses are not expecting it and that is one area on the Troy defense that Army will be able to exploit in this game. Army is going to keep this a closer game as they try to grind out a win here at home. Army will cover the spread in this game.
