The Suns are coming into this 1st game of the NBA season with a new look to their team and they are going to be playing with a chip on their shoulder this season. They were 3-1 straight up against the Warriors last season and they have made some moves to help improve their team. They still have Devin Booker and Kevin Durant in the core of their starters but they have traded away both Paul and Ayton but brought in a solid center in Jusuf Nurkic as replacement and also added a very motivated Bradley Beal to replace the playmaking skills of Paul. Paul and Ayton also had the worst defensive ratings on the Suns last season while Beal had one of the better defensive ratings on the Wizards so adding Beal has not only replaced the playmaking skills of Paul but has also added a much better player on the defensive end. They are going up against a Warriors team that has not done much to change their starting lineup this season other than adding Chris Paul to the team. The Warriors are also missing Draymond Green in this game though so they will be missing one of their bigger defensive presences on the court. Both of these teams have great players that can score points in this game but with the new additions the Suns have the edge on the defensive end in this game, especially with Green being out and Poole being gone from the Warriors who had the best defensive rating on the team last season. The Suns have also added some more bench depth and they are going to pull of the outright win to start their season here. The Suns will cover the spread in this game.
