The Cavaliers are coming into this game with a 3-4 record this season as they have taken a step back from the way they started the season last year. They have been playing better recently as they have won 2 of their last 3 games and have Garland as well as Allen back in their starting lineup, but even with them back they still struggled in their last road game as they lost to the Pacers, a team that also beat them earlier in the season. They are going up against a Thunder team that has gotten healthy now and also has a win over the Cavs this year from one of their first games of the season. The Thunder are 4-3 this season as they have been building a good team over the last 3 years, improving more each season, and they finally showed some results last year as they made it to the play-in game for the playoffs. They are going to be hungry to improve even more this season now that Chet Holmgren is with the team back from his injury and even their 3 losses this season have come against some very good teams in the league. They got blown out by the Nuggets in their 1st loss of the season but the Nuggets are also the defending champions. Their last 2 losses were both at home against the Pelicans and the Warriors who are both very good teams and they only lost by 4 points to the Pelicans as well as by 2 points to the Warriors. The Cavaliers have already been struggling in their games this season, especially on the road, and they are still trying to get into a groove with their team healthy again while the Thunder have not stopped improving over the last few seasons and have come out hot once again to start the year.
