Michigan is coming into this game with a 9-0 record this season and they have won all of those games by at least 20 points. They have the best defense in the country as they are only averaging 6.7 points allowed per game and their offense is in the top 5, averaging 40.7 points scored per game. They are going up against a Penn State team that has been posting very similar numbers with an offense averaging 40.2 points scored per game and their defense allowing 11.9 points per game. Penn State leans more on their running game and even though they are at home here, that is going to be a problem for them as Michigan has been averaging less than 100 yards rushing against them per game all season. Penn State has not been as efficient passing the ball though and with their run game struggling against this defense, their passing game will also struggle as Michigan has defended the pass well all season. Michigan has a much more balanced offense with a strong running game but they can also beat the Penn State defense through the air as well.
