Akron is coming into this game with a 2-8 record this season and they are coming off of a loss in their last game after getting their 1st conference win of the season. They are going up against an Eastern Michigan team that is 4-6 this season and has not been great against MAC opponents this year as they are 2-4 in the conference, but EMU also has something to play for as they can become bowl eligible if they win their last 2 games. Their last game of the season is against another struggling team in Buffalo so they will be fully focused on this home game to give themselves a chance at a bowl game this year.
