UNLV is coming into this game with a 2-2 record this season. They have not had a tough schedule to start the season but have only come away with 2 wins so far. They opened the year with a home loss against Southern by 10+ points, that being Southern's only win this year through 5 games, and they are coming off of an 8 point loss against Florida State in their last game which was at a neutral location. Their 2 wins are not very impressive though as they beat Stetson at home by 10+ points and beat Pepperdine on the road by 10+ points. They are going up against a Richmond team that is 2-2 this season as well but they have been playing much better in their 4 games. Their 2 wins came at home against VMI and Siena as they won both games by 10+ points. Those wins are not great as VMI and Siena are not very good teams, but they also managed to keep their last 2 losses very close. They went on the road against Boston College and only lost by 7 points and they followed up with another close loss at a neutral location in their last game, losing by just 5 points to Colorado who is ranked 25th in the country. Richmond is going to be hungry to bounce back with a win after 2 close losses and they have been playing much better in their recent games against tougher opponents as well.
