Southeastern Louisiana is coming into this game with a 2-6 record this season and they have not been playing well recently at all. Both of their wins this year have come in their only 2 home games and both of those home games were against schools who are not in Division I. All of their losses have come on the road or in their games at neutral locations and they have had a tough schedule in that span but they also have losses to bad teams as well like their loss to a 2-6 Western Michigan. They are going up against a Southern team that is 2-6 this season and has not been playing well for most of the season either but just like SELA, Southern has also had a very tough schedule to start the season. Southern has actually had a much tougher schedule than SELA as they have already played against 4 ranked teams in Arizona, Illinois, Marquette, and Mississippi State. They have also played no games at home this season and no games at neutral locations either, playing all 8 of their games on the road to start the season. They did manage to beat UNLV on the road in a dominant game and they are also coming off of a road win in their last game against the ranked Mississippi State team so they are going to have some confidence from that win which will carry over here since this is their home opener. Southern has had the tougher schedule to start the season but they are coming off of a very good win and they are going to get up for their 1st home game of the season against another struggling team here.
