The Browns are coming into this game with an 11-6 record this season and even though they are playing this game as the Wild Card team, they finished the season with a better record than the Texans who won their division. The Browns have been a very dangerous team over the last month as they have won 4 of their last 5 games and they have also won 4 of their 5 games with Flacco this season. Their only loss in their last 5 games was a road loss against the Bengals last week in a game that the Browns rested most of their key starters in. The Browns were only 3-5 on the road this season but Flacco only played in 2 of those road games, 1 being a loss against the Rams in his very 1st start with the team and the other being a win in Houston against the Texans a few weeks ago. The Browns offense has been much better with Flacco running it as they have scored at least 30 points in 3 of their last 4 games with him starting, but their real strength has been their defense which has been one of the best defenses in the league all season. They are going up against a Texans team that is 10-7 this season and needed to win their final game of the season to make the playoffs, only winning the division because the Jaguars lost in the final week as well. The Texans have had a very good season under their new head coach and with their rookie quarterback but as great as they have been all season, they have been overachieving a lot with the talent on their team and this is still a rookie quarterback playing his 1st ever playoff game in the NFL and is going against one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Browns beat the Texans 36-22 in Houston a few weeks ago and Stroud did not play in that game but he is not going to be able to much more against this Browns defense and the Browns offense has still been a lot more potent with Flacco running the offense. The Browns are a very well rounded and more complete team while the Texans are simply a year ahead of themselves and they will show the inexperience here.
