The Rams are coming into this game with a 10-7 record this season and this has been a very dangerous team over the last few weeks of the season. They have been in playoff mode over the last few weeks as they needed to run the table to make the playoffs and they basically did as they have won their last 4 straight as well as 7 of their last 8 games, their only loss in that span coming on the road in OT against the Ravens in a game they were leading the entire time but blew late. The Rams have been playing very well recently and their offense has been on fire as this is a very dangerous team with a healthy Stafford running the offense as well as some dangerous weapons in Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, and Kyren Williams now breaking out in the run game as well. The Rams also have the experience of winning the Super Bowl just a few years ago and it was the same quarterback/coaching pair that did it with roughly the same core group of players as well. They are going up against a Lions team that is 12-5 this season and has been playing great all season, but the Lions have been building this team under Dan Campbell the last couple of years. They are a much improved team this season as they won the division and had a dominant season, but they are not quite ready to take on the playoffs and this will be a good learning experience for the team. The Lions have a very potent offense and have been a much better team at home this season, but the Rams also have a potent offense that can match the Lions. The Lions have also had a big problem on defense in the 2nd half of the season with multiple blown leads in their games and a defense that has allowed at least 20 points in their last 3 straight as well as 8 of their last 9 games. That defense is going to be a big problem against this Rams offense and the Rams have a huge edge on defense as well since they were the team that drafted Jared Goff so Sean McVay already knows a lot about the way he plays and his tendencies. The Rams have a very good chance of winning this game and advancing to the next round. The Rams will cover the spread in this game.
