The Eagles are coming into this game with an 11-6 record this season but they have been a complete disaster over the 2nd half of the season. Even when the Eagles started this season 10-1, they were winning a lot of games but never looked quite right, and now that has caught up with them in the 2nd half of the year. They have lost their last 2 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games and their last 2 losses have both come against teams with losing records. The Eagles are a team that has been spiraling all season due to the loss of their OC and DC in the offseason, but those losses have been apparent in their games and they are simply not ready to make a playoff run until that gets fixed. Jalen Hurts has also been playing banged up the last few weeks and he has been awful in those games. They are going up against a Buccaneers team that is 9-8 this season and won the NFC South. The Bucs were pretty much left for dead this season after Tom Brady retired and they brought in Baker Mayfield, but Mayfield has fit in with this team very well. He has been playing some of his best football in his career over the last month and this entire team has been playing all season with a chip on their shoulder, the same way Baker has been playing every game as well. This team is very similar to the one that Tom Brady led last season and they have all the talent to do some serious damage against a struggling Eagles team that has been limping to the finish line for quite some time now. There is also a big revenge factor here as the Eagles beat the Buccaneers in Tampa earlier this season, but the Bucs also played that game against the Eagles when they were at their best this season. The Eagles are nowhere near to being that same team and the Bucs are going to have a good defensive plan with Todd Bowles to stop this Eagles offense that has had their struggles. The Eagles still have big problems that they have not figured out yet with their OC and DC while the Bucs have done nothing but improve all season and they are live to win this game straight up.
