SMU is coming into this game with a 17-7 record this season and they have been one of the better teams in the conference as well at 8-3. They have been playing very well in their recent games as they have won their last 4 straight games, but 3 of those wins also came at home and they are coming off of a 3 point win at home in their last game against North Texas which they were fortunate to come back and win after trailing by 10+ points for most of the game. They won their last game on the road against Rice but they have not been as good on the road in the conference as they have lost 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games on the road. They are going up against a Tulane team that is 13-10 this season and has not been great in their recent games. They have lost 4 of their last 5 games with their only win in that span coming at home against Temple, but they have actually played well in these 5 games despite losing 4 of them. They are coming off of a 12 point loss on the road against Memphis in their last game which they will be hungry to bounce back from, losing that game right after beating Temple, but prior to that Temple win, their 3 losses were very close games as they lost by 4 points and by 1 point on the road to SMU and UTSA respectively as well as losing by 4 points at home against a very good Charlotte team that is one of the better teams in the conference. Tulane has not been winning games recently but they have been playing much better in these losses and they are ripe for a win here at home with how close they have come recently against some of the better teams in the conference. They also lost to SMU by 4 points on the road back on February 1 so that was a very recent loss that they almost won on the road and they are going to get up for this game here at home to get their revenge.
