West Ham is coming into this match playing in awful form in their recent matches. They have lost their last 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 6 matches with no losses in that span, and they do not have a win in their last 8 straight matches either. Their defense has been awful in their recent matches as they have allowed at least 2 goals in each of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 5 matches and they have been averaging over 3 goals allowed per match in that span, allowing 8 goals in their last 2 matches alone. Their attack has also been awful in those as they have not scored a goal in their last 3 straight matches. They are going up against a Brentford side that has not been in good form in their recent matches either. They have lost their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 matches, but they have also had a much stronger schedule in that span. They have lost 4 of their last 5 matches but all 4 of those losses came against some of the strongest teams in the Premier League as they have seen Liverpool, Man City twice, and Tottenham all in that span. Brentford has not been producing results recently with their tougher stretch of schedule but they have played much better since Ivan Toney returned to the team and they have a lot more firepower on the attack right now than West Ham does.
