Texas Tech is coming into this game with a 20-9 record this season and they are 9-7 in the conference. They have not been playing well recently as they have lost 2 of their last 3 as well as 3 of their last 5 games, but they are coming off of an 11 point road win against West Virginia in their last game and they are still trying to make a case for themselves as a tournament team. They cannot afford to lose this game with the season their opponent has had as this would be an awful loss to take. They are going up against an Oklahoma State team that is 12-17 this season and is 4-12 in the conference which is the worst record. They have not been playing well in their recent games either as they have lost their last 3 straight as well as 5 of their last 7 games. They were starting to play much better at home during the middle of the conference schedule as they had won 3 straight games there, but even that form has gone out the window now as they have lost their last 2 straight games there and are only 3-5 at home in the conference this season. They already do not have much to play for in these last few games as their only way into the NCAA Tournament would be to win the Big 12 Conference Tournament, and their season really started to unravel with that 2 point loss to Oklahoma at home as that was a game that meant a lot to them and their last 2 losses since then have been much worse.
