Longwood is coming into this game with a 20-13 record this season but they were not very good in the conference at 6-10. They have beaten some good teams recently as well as they have 2 wins against High Point as well as a win against UNC Asheville in their last 6 games. They are going up against a UNC Asheville team that is 22-11 this season and has been much better in the conference this year at 12-4. They have also been playing well recently as they have won their last 3 straight as well as 8 of their last 10 games, but they have also been playing against weaker teams in the conference for this tournament as they were seeded much higher. They only beat Charleston Southern by 5 points in their 1st game and they are coming off of an OT win against Gardner Webb in their last game. Longwood has been playing much better on defense this season as they have been averaging less points allowed per game than UNC Asheville and since this is the finals where the winner goes to the NCAA Tournament, Longwood is going to get up for this game with a good defensive effort and fight tooth and nail to keep this game close if they cannot win it straight up.
