The Nuggets are coming into this game with a 45-20 record this season and they are going to be hungry to get up for this game after seeing the Thunder lose last night to the Pacers. The Thunder have been leading the Western Conference recently but now with that loss last night, they have the same record as the Nuggets so the Nuggets have a chance to finally take back the number 1 seed in the Western Conference with a win here. The Nuggets have been chasing the number 1 seed for quite some time but now they have been heating up recently which has put them in a position to take it back here. They have won their last 3 straight as well as 9 of their last 10 games and they have some quality wins in that span as well, beating the Celtics recently who have the best record in the NBA. They have also been getting better on the road this season as they are now 18-14 on the road and have won their last 3 straight games on the road as well. They are going up against a Heat team that is 35-29 this season and after storming up the table to get themselves into the top 6 of the Eastern Conference, they have been slipping once again as they have not been playing well. They have lost their last 3 straight as well as 4 of their last 6 games and they are even coming off of a loss at home against the Wizards in their last game. The Heat just lost by 6 points to the Nuggets at the end of February in Denver but despite that game being so close, the Heat have actually lost 5 of their last 6 games against the Nuggets going back to last season's NBA Finals and all of the games they played in Denver were much closer than the games in Miami. These two have only met in Miami twice in their last 6 games against each other and both of those games were 10+ point wins by the Nuggets. The Nuggets have been heating up recently and they have owned the Heat in recent games, they will not pass up this opportunity to take the number 1 seed in the Western Conference here.
