AMEDEUS' CBB NIT HARDCOURT HAMMER!
(NCAAB) UNLV vs. Princeton,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -110.00 Princeton (Home)
Result: Loss
UNLV is coming into this game with a 19-12 record this season and they were 12-6 in their conference. They were in the top 4 of their conference during the regular season and have been playing well recently as they have won 5 of their last 7 games, but they also ended the season losing their last 2 straight games. They finished the regular season with a 10 point loss on the road against Nevada and followed up by fizzling out of the MWC Tournament in their 1st round with a 3 point loss in OT to San Diego State, a game that was played at home as well since they were hosting the MWC Tournament. They fizzled out when they needed to win most and now their motivation is going to be in question here with the way they were snubbed from the NCAA Tournament. They wanted to be at the Big Dance but instead they have to settle for the NIT even though they had 3 teams ahead of them in the MWC and 3 teams behind them in the standings of the MWC earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament, and they do not even get the home game here either but instead have to endure a long travel. They are going up against a Princeton team that is 24-4 this season and was the best team in the Ivy League during the regular season at 12-2. They finished the regular season playing very well as they had won their last 9 straight games, but they fizzled out in their 1st round of the conference tournament, losing by 9 points to Brown in the semi-finals. Princeton is another team that is going to be feeling snubbed here after their performance during the regular season but they are going to get up for this game and bounce back from that bad loss to Brown. They have also been a very dominant team at home this season as they have won all 12 of their games there and have won 3 of their last 4 games there by 9+ points as well. Princeton will cover the spread in this game.
