VCU is coming into this game with a 22-13 record this season and they were 4th in their conference this year at 11-7. They went deep into the A10 Tournament but ended up falling short to Duquesne in the final which saw them miss out on the NCAA Tournament. VCU is still a small school though and they will be happy to play in this tournament at least with a chance to win something. They are going up against a Villanova team that is 18-15 this season and was 6th in their conference at 10-10. They did not end the season playing well as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games and they were also holding out hope of being the NCAA Tournament. Unlike VCU though, Villanova is a much bigger school with a nice history in the NCAA Tournament over the last decade so their motivation is going to be in question as this is not the tournament they wanted to be in. VCU is a good defensive team and they will be able to keep this game closer in score with good defense as they will get up for this game. VCU will cover the spread here.
