The Red Sox are coming into this game with an 11-10 record this season and they are starting to play better in their recent games. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and their offense has been getting hot again over that time, coming off of an 8-1 win against the Pirates last night. Bello pitched deep into that game as well so that took some stress off of the Red Sox bullpen as well. They are going up against a Pirates team that is 11-9 this season but they have not been playing well in their recent games. They have lost their last 4 straight games as well as 5 of their last 6 games. Their offense has been awful in these games as well as they have scored just 1 run in each of their last 3 games. They will not have it any easier to score runs in this game either with Kutter Crawford starting for the Red Sox as he is 0-0 with a 0.42 ERA this season. He has only allowed 1 earned run in his 4 starts this season and has allowed no runs at all in his last 2 starts. He is going to continue to be lights out here with the way the Pirates have been struggling on offense now. Mitch Keller is starting for the Pirates here and he is 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA this season. He has been pitching better in his last 2 starts as he only allowed 2 earned runs in each of his last 2 starts, but he has actually allowed at least 2 earned runs in all 4 of his starts this season. He consistently gives up runs which will not be good against this Red Sox lineup that is heating up now, and Keller has not really pitched well in recent years so it is unlikely he has another good performance against these Red Sox bats like he did in his last 2 starts. The Red Sox are going to win this game.
