AMEDEUS' NBA HARDCOURT HAMMER!
(NBA) New Orleans vs. Oklahoma City,
Point Spread: 7.50 | -104.00 New Orleans (Away)
Result: Loss
The Pelicans are coming into this game with a 49-33 record this season and they are down 1-0 in the series now. They lost game 1 to the Thunder 94-92 but they played very well in that game and almost came away with the win in the end. They were tied at halftime and neither team really pulled away in that game as the Pelicans were able to keep it within striking distance all night. The Pelicans have also been great on the road this season at 28-14 which is actually the best road record in the NBA this season, and they have also won 6 of their last 7 games on the road, including game 1 of this series which they lost by 2 points. The Thunder won both games in New Orleans during the regular season, but the Pelicans won their only meeting in Oklahoma City and they are going to be pushing very hard in this game to try and even up the series before going back home. The Thunder may have won game 1 but their offense was not it's usual self as they won scoring only 94 points. The Thunder have struggled more in games against very good defensive teams this season as they have only been held under 100 points in 3 games all season, but they lost all 3 of those games. They escaped game 1 with a very close win but the Pelicans are going to bring that same intensity on defense and the Thunder are going to struggle to deal with it just like they did in game 1. The Thunder also have a very young team that is very inexperienced in the playoffs and that is going to be key in this game as they will not be able to hang onto any large leads they start to break into in this game. The Pelicans are going to be a threat to win this game on the road and even if they lose, this will be a very close game again just like game 1 was. The Pelicans will cover the spread in this game.
