Result: Win
Money Line: -129.00 Milwaukee (Away)
Result: Win
The Brewers are coming into this game with a 15-8 record this season and they have been playing well in their recent games. They have won 5 of their last 7 games and they are coming off of a 3-2 win against the Pirates in their last game which now gives them a chance to split this series with a win here. The Pirates got off to a very hot start this season as they were the best team in the division after 10 games, but they have not been playing well in their recent games as they are only 13-12 this season now. They have lost 7 of their last 9 games and their offense has been awful in these as they have scored 2 runs or less in 7 of their last 8 games. Their offensive struggles are going to continue here as well as the Brewers have Freddy Peralta starting and he is 2-0 with a 1.90 ERA this season. He has been great in his 4 starts this season as he has allowed just 1 earned run or less in 3 of his 4 starts, his worst start being one which he allowed 3 earned runs in a little under 6 innings against the Mariners. He has also been much better on the road this season as his worst start of the year which he allowed 3 runs in has been his only start, allowing 1 run or less in 3 road starts this season. He will continue to pitch well against this cold Pirates lineup. The Pirates have Mitch Keller starting in this game and he is 2-2 with a 4.80 ERA this season. He has not pitched well in his starts this season as he is coming off of a start which he allowed 4 earned runs in and he has allowed at least 4 earned runs in 3 of his 5 starts this season. He has also been consistently allowing runs as he has allowed at least 2 earned runs in each of his 5 starts this year and that has been an issue for him going back to last season. He was awful against the Brewers last season as well as he allowed 8 earned runs in his last start against them and also allowed 4 earned runs in his only other start against the Brewers last year. The Brewers have been playing much better recently as they are leading the division right now and they will be able to score some runs in this game with this pitching matchup as Peralta leads them to another win. The Brewers will win this game.
