AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Atlanta vs. Seattle,
Money Line: -118.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Loss
The Braves are coming into this game with a 19-8 record this season and they have been playing well in their recent games. They have won 5 of their last 7 games and they are coming off of a loss in their last game which they will be hungry to bounce back from as they held a 1-0 lead for 2 innings before getting walked off by the Mariners in the 9th with a 2 run homerun. Reynaldo López is starting for the Braves in this game and he is 2-0 with a 0.72 ERA this season. He has been great in his 4 starts this year as he has pitched at least 6 innings in each of those 4 starts, allowing just 2 earned runs total across all 4 starts. The Mariners have been playing well recently as they have won 2 of their last 3 games, but their offense has not been scoring runs in those as they have not scored more than 3 runs in any of their last 3 games, scoring just 2 runs in each of their last 2 games as well. Lopez has been pitching very well this season, barely allowing any runs in his starts, and he will continue to pitch well here with the Mariners offense cooling off over their last 3 games. The Mariners have Luis Castillo starting here and he is 2-4 with a 4.15 ERA this season. Castillo got off to a very rocky start this season as he allowed 4 earned runs in each of his first 3 starts of the season. He has been much better in his last 3 starts as he has not been giving up as many runs, but he has still allowed at least 2 earned runs in 2 of his last 3 starts and has only had 1 start of his 6 this season where he allowed no runs at all. The Braves have the best offense in the MLB right now and they are going to be pushing for the win here after scoring just 1 run in their game yesterday, especially after the way they lost that game as well. The Braves will win this game and bounce back.
