AMEDEUS' MLB GOLD STRIKE!
(MLB) NY Mets vs. Cleveland,
Money Line: 101.00 Cleveland (Home)
Result: Win
The Mets are coming into this game with a 21-27 record this season and they have not been playing well in their recent games. They have lost their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games, and their pitching has not been good in those as they have allowed at least 7 runs in 3 of their last 5 games. They are going up against a Guardians team that is 32-17 this season and has been very good at home at 17-6. They have also been very good in their recent games as they have won their last 5 straight as well as 7 of their last 8 games. Triston McKenzie is starting for the Guardians in this game and he is 2-3 with a 3.23 ERA this season. He has been very good and consistent in his recent starts as he has not allowed more than 1 earned run in a single start in each of his last 3 as well as not allowing more than 2 earned runs in his last 6 straight starts. He has been pitching deep into his starts as well so he is going to give the Guardians another great chance to win while on the mound at home, and they also have one of the better bullpens in the league to lean on as well. Jose Quintana is starting for the Mets in this game and he is 1-4 with a 5.21 ERA this season. He has not been that good in his starts this May. He is coming off of a start which he only allowed 2 earned runs in, but he also allowed 12 earned runs total in his 2 starts prior to his last one. He has not made it to or out of the 6th inning in any of those 3 starts either. The Guardians have been playing very well recently and their offense has been scoring runs as they just scored 7 runs last night to beat the Mets. Quintana has not been pitching well recently and he is going to give up runs here which will cause trouble for the Mets in this game since runs will be hard for them to score with this pitching matchup. The Guardians will win this game at home and sweep the Mets in this series.
