He has also been very consistent for the Mariners this season, but the team has not responded to his pitching as they have only won 11 of the 22 games he has started in all year. He has also been unraveling in July as he allowed 7 earned runs in his last start, allowing at least 3 runs or more in 4 of his last 5 starts as well, and he has allowed 12 runs total in his last 2 starts alone. Gilbert has been struggling against better lineups recently and the Phillies still have one of the better offenses in the league this season, scoring runs even in their recent losses. Wheeler will give the Phillies a good opportunity to break their losing streak as he will bounce back in this game and the Phillies offense will respond with some runs as well, knowing the bullpen will not have an opportunity to blow this one. The Phillies will bounce back here and win this game.
