AMEDEUS' CFB WEEK 0 IN THE POCKET PLAY!
(NCAAF) Bobcats (MOS) vs. Lobos (NM),
Total: 53.50 | -115.00 Over
Result: Win
Montana State is coming off of a season which they finished 8-4 and they played in a lot of high scoring games last year. Of their 12 games last season, 8 of those went over this specific total and their offense also scored 38+ points themselves in 8 of their 12 games. Their starting quarterback Sean Chambers is no longer with the team, but Mellott is returning for another year and he did play in 9 of their 12 games last season. He did not play as many games as Chambers did, but Mellott actually had more TDs as well as passing yards and also had the better completion percentage while throwing more passes than Chambers actually did. This potent offense will be ready to go in this game and Montana State is going to get up with a chance to start their season with a win over an FBS team. Montana State also had the 2nd best scoring offense in FCS last season while being 3rd in offensive yards produced. They are going up against a New Mexico team that is in the 1st season of a new head coach, but there is no doubt that they are going to have some pride here at home and get up for this game as they do not want to lose to an FCS team. Their defense was awful last season as they averaged 35.1 points against them per game, but their offense did step up from the previous season as they were averaging 27.2 points per game. Just like Montana State, New Mexico also played in a lot of high scoring games last season as they went over this specific total in 10 of their 12 games. New Mexico showed last season that they can score points against the weaker team and as good as Montana State has been in their own league, they are still an FCS team that gave up at least 20 points in most of their games, and that was against weaker FCS opponents. Between these two teams, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
