AMEDEUS' NFL PRIME TIME SUNDAY SMASHER!
(NFL) Bears (CHI) vs. Texans (HOU),
Total: 45.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Win
The Bears are coming into this game off of a win at home against the Titans in their 1st game of the season. They won 24-17 in a game that the defense kept them in it. The offense was awful as they struggled to run the ball and Caleb Williams only had 93 passing yards, completing less than 50% of his passes. The defense actually won them the game as they were down 17-3 at halftime and the defense scored 3 TDs to pull ahead, all while shutting out the Titans in the 2nd half. The offense is going to struggle once again in this game as Williams has not played well in any of his appearances going back to preseason as well, and there will also be a lot of pressure on him with this being a prime time game with all eyes on him. The Bears have built a very good defense though and this defense is going to show up once again here. They are going up against a Texans team that is coming off of a win in their 1st game of the season, beating the Colts on the road 29-27 in a high scoring game, but their offense is not going to move down the field as easily against this Bears defense. The Texans were also very efficient on the ground last week as Joe Mixon rushed for 159 yards, and he is going to be a big part of their offense again on Sunday night. Will Levis struggled a lot in the 2nd half against this Bears defense, but they were having lots of success on the ground with Pollard rushing for 82 yards so that is a weakness in this Bears defense that the Texans can exploit which will also lead to more milking of the clock. The Bears are also going to be committed to running the ball here to take the stress off of their rookie quarterback. This is going to be a run heavy game on both sides between two teams who both value defense. This will be a low scoring and more defensive game that stays under the total.
