AMEDEUS' NFC EAST GAME OF THE MONTH!
(NFL) Cowboys (DAL) vs. Giants (NYG),
Point Spread: -5.50 | -110.00 Cowboys (DAL) (Away)
Result: Loss
The Cowboys are coming into this game with a 1-2 record this season. They won their 1st game of the season on the road against the Browns, but they have followed up with 2 straight losses at home in their last 2 games. They got crushed by the Saints 44-19, but they played much better in their last game against the Ravens. That game started out the same way as the Saints game with the Cowboys going down 28-6, but the defense started to play much better in the 2nd half, only allowing 7 points, and they were able to come back and make it a 28-25 loss while giving the Ravens a good scare. They are going up against a Giants team that is also 1-2 this season and they are coming off of their 1st win of the season, winning 21-15 over the Browns on the road. The Giants have actually played much better in their last 2 games with Daniel Jones throwing more accurately and no interceptions, but their worst game this season was actually at home in their 28-6 loss to the Vikings and Daniel Jones threw 2 interceptions in that game. Jones has played well in their last 2 games with the emergence of Nabers as well, but he is not a good quarterback as he still makes poor decisions in-game and he will make bad decisions in this game against a Cowboys defense with a lot of talented pieces. The Giants have had a better run game in their last 2, but the Cowboys will be able to shut them down and that will force Jones to beat them with his arm which he will not be able to do. The Cowboys also have a lot of talented pieces on offense and they are going to be able to shred this Giants defense on the ground and in the air. The Giants were much better on defense last week, but they struggled to stop the run and the passing game in their other 2 games against competent offenses. The Cowboys have lost 2 straight games against much stronger teams so they are going to be hungry to bounce back here and this is the perfect get right game for them against a division opponent that they love to beat up on. The Cowboys have won the last 6 straight as well as 13 of the last 14 meetings with the Giants, including a 49-17 win at home and a 40-0 win in New York just last season. The Cowboys are going to cover the spread in this game.
