AMEDEUS' CFB REDZONE ROUT!
(NCAAF) Wildcats (KEN) vs. Rebels (MIS),
Point Spread: -15.50 | -110.00 Rebels (MIS) (Home)
Result: Loss
Kentucky is coming into this game with a 2-2 record this season and they are 0-2 in conference play as well. They are coming off of a win against Ohio in their last game, winning at home 41-6, but they lost 2 straight games prior to that. One of their losses was in a blowout at home, losing to South Carolina 31-6, but they followed up with a much better 13-12 home loss against Georgia in their next game. They held one of the top teams in the country to just 13 points and did not allow them to do much on offense, but this is going to be a very different style of offense for them. They are going up against an Ole Miss team that is 4-0 this season and they are going to get up for their 1st conference game of the season at home. Their offense has been very good this season, scoring 40+ points in all 4 of their games, and they have a very balanced offense as well. They are averaging 248 rushing yards per game, averaging 6.2 yards per carry, as well as averaging 422.8 passing yards per game, averaging 13.1 yards per attempt with Dart. Their defense has also been much better this season as well. They have been averaging 5.5 points allowed per game in their games so far. They have been playing against weaker opponents in these and do have some weaknesses with their pass defense, but Kentucky will not be able to attack those with their poor passing game. Kentucky is also going to struggle to run the ball here as Ole Miss is only averaging 34.5 rushing yards against them per game, averaging 1.1 yards per carry against as well. Kentucky has a very good defense as well, but their strength is their run defense and Ole Miss is a team that can beat them in the air with Dart. Kentucky is also much stronger in the run game on offense and that is Mississippi's strength on defense so Kentucky will struggle to get that going and their quarterback has not been efficient in the passing game. Kentucky can try to take away the run game from Ole Miss but they do not need to run the ball to win this game as they will be able to shred this Kentucky secondary, and once the run game is taken away from Kentucky by the Ole Miss defense, they will not have much going for them on offense. Ole Miss will cover the spread in this game.
