Oklahoma State is coming into this game with a 3-1 record this season and they are coming off of their 1st loss of the season in their last game. They lost at home to Utah 22-19, but Utah has a very good defense and could be the best team in the Big 12 this season with the quality they have. Oklahoma State fought hard to make a late comeback at home, but their offense will have an easier time moving the ball in this game. They are going up against a Kansas State team that is also 3-1 this season and is also coming off of their 1st loss of the season. They lost on the road against BYU 38-9 in a game they were completely dominated by the BYU defense. Now they are coming back home and they are going to be facing a much weaker defense so they will not have the same problems they had last week. Kansas State loves to run the ball and they have a very good run game that is averaging 240.3 rushing yards per game and 6.5 yards per carry. This matches up very well with Oklahoma State as their run defense has been awful this season, allowing an average of 180.3 rushing yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry. Their pass defense has not been great either so Kansas State is going to have options moving the ball here, and their great run game will only open up this passing game more for them. Kansas State has also been very good stopping the run on defense, but their pass defense has some weaknesses as they are allowing 214.3 passing yards per game and allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 64.2% of their passes. This matches up very well for the Oklahoma State offense as they have no real run game this season, but their passing game has been very good with their air raid offense. Their offense has been averaging 309.8 passing yards per game and 41 passing attempts per game as well so even if Oklahoma State struggles to run the ball here, they will find success in the air against this defense. Kansas State will have no problems moving the ball against this defense at home, but Oklahoma State is not going to struggle to come back with their passing game and their ability to score quickly will drive up the score here as well. Between these two sides, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
