AMEDEUS' CFB LATE NIGHT SPECIAL!
(NCAAF) Ducks (ORE) vs. Bruins (UCLA),
Point Spread: -25.50 | -108.00 Ducks (ORE) (Away)
Result: Loss
UCLA is coming into this game with a 1-2 record this season and their only win came in their 1st game of the season, barely beating Hawaii 16-13. They followed up with 2 straight losses, losing at home to Indiana 42-13 and losing on the road to LSU 34-17 in their last game. They are going up against an Oregon team that is 3-0 this season and they have been improving in each of their games. They played much closer games in their first 2 wins, but now they are coming off of a 49-14 win on the road against Oregon State in their last game and they are coming off of a bye week as well so they have had extra time to prepare for this game. Oregon has been very good with their offense this season. They have a good run game that is averaging 152 rushing yards per game, but their real strength is their passing game which is averaging 309.7 passing yards per game and a quarterback in Dillon Gabriel who is averaging 9.7 yards per attempt and completing 84% of his passes, one of the best completing percentages in the country. UCLA has done a good job stopping the run this season, averaging just 92 rushing yards allowed per game, but their pass defense has been awful, averaging 295.3 passing yards allowed per game and allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 68.9% of their passes as well. Oregon's strength is their passing game with Dillon Gabriel so UCLA is going to struggle to defend Oregon all game as Gabriel will shred their secondary with his accuracy. Oregon has also been good on defense as they are only allowing 133.7 rushing yards per game and 164.7 passing yards per game, allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete just 50% of their passes as well. This matches up well against UCLA as their offense has no run game, averaging 60.3 rushing yards per game and just 2.7 yards per carry, so that will put a lot of stress on their passing game which has not been great or efficient either. UCLA already got dismantled at home by Indiana in their 1st Big 10 game and now they are playing a much better Oregon side that will be looking to make a big impression in their 1st conference game as a Big 10 school. Oregon will cover the spread in this game.
