FIU is coming into this game with a 2-3 record this season but they have not been playing well on the road. They won their only conference game at home against LA Tech who is 1-3 this season, but both of their road games this year have been losses by 18+ points. Their defense has not been good as they have allowed 30+ points in both of their road games, and they even have a loss at home to Monmouth from the FCS in a game they allowed 45 points. They are going up against a Liberty team that is 4-0 this season and 2-0 in their conference games already. They beat New Mexico State by 6 points on the road, but their only home game in the Conference USA was an 18 point win over UTEP. They have not played since Sept 21 due to their game against App State getting canceled, but they are going to be well rested and ready to go in this game after all of that time off. Liberty has a very good offense that is averaging 33.4 points scored per game and they are also very balanced with their run and passing games. They are averaging over 200 rushing yards per game, 5 yards per carry, and they also have a good quarterback in Salter who has been efficient in the passing game. Liberty has not been giving up much on the ground on defense either and this FIU offense does not have a strong run game. They will struggle to run the ball here and their pass game has not been great either. FIU will struggle to move the ball here and scoring has been an issue for them in their road games this year. Liberty has a very efficient offense that is going to move the ball well at home and they can put up some quick scores there as well which will lead to this game getting away from FIU. Liberty will cover the spread in this game.
